This high torque Wosp starter fits all Type-1 Beetles and Ghias with twelve volt transmission housing. (1967 through 1979.) Â It replaces Bosch 12 Volt starters perfectly. Â Treat yourself to reliable starting! Â Since the output shaft is the “self supporting” kind, you can also use the starter in a 6 volt trans housing with the bushing removed.
